In 2011 Giftbit was founded in Canada by Leif Baradoy and Peter Locke. Since then, we've been proud to power millions of rewards for businesses big and small and operate out of both Canada and the United States. Leif continues to lead the team as Giftbit moves into the next stages of growth and global expansion.

We are a remote-friendly organization with team members working mainly across the Pacific Northwest. We are guided by our Cultural Principles.

Giftbit FAQs

How does Giftbit make money?
There are no fees to use the Giftbit platform. Instead, we make money in two ways:
  1. We have partnerships with companies that share a margin on gift cards and prepaid cards with us.
  2. When a customer chooses to set a claim period on a promotional reward, we receive the unclaimed value when the offer expires.
Depending on their program, we share revenue from either stream back with our customers. If your program involves sending high volumes of rewards, Giftbit offers savings opportunities and custom pricing. Learn more here.
 

Who founded Giftbit, and when?

Giftbit was founded in 2011 in Canada by Leif Baradoy and Peter Locke. Leif continues to lead the company today as CEO.

 

Where is Giftbit headquartered?

Giftbit has offices in Victoria, BC, Canada, and operates out of both Canada and the United States with a remote-friendly team based mainly across the Pacific Northwest. Headquarters is technically in Calgary, AB.
